What are actual program participants saying about The Ryther Challenge?
Very effective goal setting - focusing our group on why we were there, what we could gain from the experience, and helped us see that we were responsible for achieving the goals. Our group learned:
- Together we can accomplish more than we can as individuals
Things that seem impossible aren't necessarily
- I work with some fun and creative people
We all have a sun-kissed glow and are basking in the spirit of cooperation and success we got from spending the better part of the day working on team work and accomplishing challenging objectives. The whole accounting team had a great experience on the challenge course. I am very happy with our success today, and am confident we'll be able to continue to focus on us as we go about our tasks. I look forward to sharing the prolonged results with you in 60 days. Very effective goal setting with the facilitator-it made us really consider as a group and as individuals what we were trying to get out of the experience. Having it verbalized and written down made me think about it throughout the day. I think the idea of follow-up sessions (maybe even more than one) is great, so that it makes us keep thinking about what we learned. The most important things I learned:
- Different people in the group had different strengths and weaknesses that helped in different situations
Someone different stepped up as a leader in each situation
- Teamwork makes the individual components stronger
Would you recommend others use this resource?
Yes, I would - I've already recommended it to other departments within our company. The goals we set for the challenges were effective. We were all supportive positive and worked together with the challenges we were given. One of my goals was to be creative and I had many creative ideas.
Other goals were:
- To work together as a team Be creative
- Recognize the different strengths and weakness we possess
I would recommend others use this resource. It is a great way to see how other team members work in different challenges |
