Eating Disorder Therapist (IOP & PHP)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provide comprehensive and culturally responsive mental health services for emotionally disturbed children and clients with eating disorders and their families.  Provide crisis intervention and case management services to caseload clients and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy, which address the needs of the client within the context of the individual's home and community.

  • Encourage and utilize individual and family strengths and capabilities.

  • Develop initial psychosocial assessments, problems lists, and treatment plans.

  • Provide intensive home-based services if indicated and in accordance with designated treatment plan.

  • Provide required case management services and inter-agency collaboration.

  • May provide crisis services to clients and families.

  • Write treatment notes, managed care documentation, reports and summaries as necessary.

  • Maintain case records in accordance with licensing, accreditation and agency requirements.

  • Develop working relationships with potential referral services.

  • Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries with clients, families, co-workers and community resources.

  • Maintain all necessary credentials per agency and licensing requirements.

  • May oversee / provide clinical supervision of outpatient staff and student interns.

  • Attend staff meetings as required.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of skill in communication and positive interaction with all Ryther employees, prospective employees, external agencies/companies and the community at large.

  • Perform related work as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain both client and employee confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, contract requirements, or other applicable laws and regulations.

  • 21 or more years of age.

  • Master's degree in Psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a community mental health setting.

  • At least 1 year of experience providing eating disorder specific treatment utilizing evidence based treatments such as CBT-E or FBT.

  • Registered Counselor with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). Full licensure or Associate license in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is appropriate.

  • Must provide own transportation.

  • Ability to use Electronic Health Record to document client interactions.

  • Ability to cooperate as a member of an inter-disciplinary treatment team.

PAY: $70,180 - $95,000

​
