Equity Focused Intern - Youth Behavioral Health
OVERVIEW:
The Ryther Equity Focused Intern will assist Ryther’s Community Advisory Board planning team to create communications materials and CAB recruitment.
Work Hours: 6-8 hours per week, flexible schedule within agency hours of operation (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday)

ABOUT RYTHER:
Helping children, youth, young adults, and their families find their path to healing and hope is at the core of our work. Ryther wants to ensure equitable, evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health care by incorporating voices from a community-advisory board (CAB).
ABOUT CAB:
The CAB will provide feedback on policies and procedures. The CAB is a representative group of professionals, community members, those with relevant lived experiences, and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community.
Training and workshop opportunities are available.
SUPERVISION:
Interns receive biweekly individual supervision from their direct supervisor and attend team meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commitment to weekly and monthly meetings

Meeting time: First Wednesday of the month 6pm-8pm

Planning meeting time: Tuesdays 11:00am

Location: Virtual, with the possibility for in-person meetings in the near future

Be informed about Ryther’s policies, procedures, and programmatic changes

Aid in recruitment process for CAB

Support the social media coordinator in recruitment efforts

Community outreach and relationship building

Develop administrative and recruitment materials

A database of CAB members
-
Updating start dates, honorarium processing, attendance

Onboarding materials
-

Assist in onboarding of new CAB members

Apply an equity and advocacy lens to the development of these materials
