Juniper IOP: Mood and Anxiety
Ryther’s Juniper IOP: Mood and Anxiety serves adolescents of all genders ages 14–18 who are experiencing mood and anxiety symptoms that interfere with daily functioning. The program offers a neurodiversity informed, developmentally responsive treatment environment where teens work to stabilize symptoms, strengthen coping and regulation skills, and build confidence in navigating school, relationships, and daily life. An optional substance use recovery component is available for participants who would benefit from integrated support.
Juniper focuses on the whole adolescent, not just a diagnosis. Our approach honors each young person’s individuality, lived experience, identity, and strengths while providing the structure, skills, and support needed for meaningful, lasting progress.
Our Treatment Philosophy
Juniper integrates evidence‑based practices from:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Treatment emphasizes emotional regulation, distress tolerance, values‑based decision making, healthy coping strategies, and practical skill‑building. Programming balances therapeutic intensity with experiential and relational opportunities that support engagement, self‑efficacy, and growth.
Our neurodiversity‑informed lens recognizes differences in learning, communication, emotional processing, and behavior—and adapts treatment to meet adolescents where they are.
