Jessica Kwon
Child & Family Therapist
Jessica is a licensed social work associate, an independent clinical therapist, and a substance use disorder professional trainee. She has been working with children, adolescents, and families since 2023. At Ryther, Jessica primarily serves teenagers and young adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, behavior management, ADHD, and autism, both at school and on the main campus. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care. Additionally, she incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic interventions into her practice.
Adopting a person-centered and strength-based approach, she emphasizes cultural humility, feminist principles, psychodynamic perspectives, and unconditional positive regard. Jessica’s primary goal is to provide equitable and high-quality care. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, listening to music, snowboarding, biking, and spending time with her dog.
