Take the Ryther Challenge with GiveBig 2018 and rebuild the Lee E. Grogg Challenge Course

On May 9, GiveBig 2018 donors will bring back one of the most effective therapies for children receiving treatment in our Cottage Program: Experiential Therapy in the Lee E Grogg Challenge Course on campus. Weekly sessions help children who have suffered trauma, neglect and abuse, and have moved on average nine times prior to entering the program. On the course, they learn how to build trust, cooperate, deal with frustration, problem solve, communicate effectively, identify feelings, learn what it feels like to be a leader and enjoy being a child all at the same time.

The course recently closed due to safety hazards and will need new poles purchased and installed, as well as new equipment to make it functional again. We are ready to build now that protruding tree roots have been removed. You can have a lasting impact on children's lives through GiveBig to bring back the Challenge Course.

You will be able to schedule your donation starting April 26. To date we have $9,500 in the match pool! Stay tuned and thank you! If you want to contribute to the Match pool contact 206.517.0215.
