( Ages 14–17 )

Adolescent DBT IOP provides intensive outpatient support for teens experiencing acute mental health challenges, including suicidal thoughts, self-harm, depression, impulsivity, and difficulty managing emotions or relationships. Through DBT skills groups and individual therapy, teens learn practical skills to handle difficult situations, manage emotions, and build healthier relationships.

DBT Skills Groups
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 4:00–7:00 PM
Three-hour group sessions focus on learning and practicing practical skills in four key areas:

-
Mindfulness: Learning to stay present and pay attention to thoughts and feelings.
-
Distress Tolerance: Building skills to handle difficult situations without making them worse.
-
Emotion Regulation: Learning to understand and manage strong emotions.
-
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Practicing communication and relationship skills.
Groups include discussion, activities, art, and other hands-on experiences. Teens can practice their skills with support from trained therapists while using Ryther’s indoor and outdoor spaces.
